Tony Friedrichs is a doctor of physical therapy (DPT) and certified manual physical therapist (CMPT). He grew up in St. Peters, MO, and is a proud alumnus of Francis Howell Central High School. Dr. Tony attended the United States Air Force Academy from 2003-05, where he received high honors for his academic, athletic, and military performance. He returned home to attend Saint Louis University. He completed a minor in Spanish, B.S. in Exercise Science (summa cum laude), and Doctorate of Physical Therapy, graduating at the top of his class.
In 2013, Dr. Tony earned a Level III Manual Therapy Certification through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). His professional career has emphasized the treatment of sports, orthopedic, and chronic pain conditions. He has broad clinical experience, including working with injured collegiate and professional athletes, children with orthopedic conditions, and seniors with gait and balance disorders.
Dr. Tony has presented numerous rehabilitation topics to groups of St. Louis-area physical therapists and medical doctors. In 2015, he launched "Friedrichs Physical Therapy, LLC" (re-named Spirit Physical Therapy in 2018), who's unique treatment model offers patients more one-on-one treatment time, faster results, and an overall better rehab experience.
Dr. Tony enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two active children. He is an avid fan of the St. Louis hometown teams, and coaches youth baseball.
